Man appears in Belfast court accused of having revolvers, pistols and ammunition
A man appeared before a Belfast court today accused of having revolvers, pistols and ammunition.
Luke Neeson, 32, was arrested following searches carried out at his Chestnut Park home in Dunmurry, on the outskirts of the city, on Tuesday morning.
He is charged with possessing firearms in suspicious circumstances.
The weapons he allegedly had also include a shotgun, Belfast Magistrates' Court heard.
A second charge involves having ammunition in suspicious circumstances.
As Neeson entered the dock an investigating detective said she could connect him to the alleged offences.
No further details about the case were disclosed.
Defence counsel John O'Connor declined to question the officer during the brief hearing.
He also confirmed his client was not yet seeking bail.
Neeson was instead remanded in custody to appear again by video link next week.
He is expected to apply for bail at that stage.
