Man arrested after drugs with value of between £30k and £50k found in Bangor house

A man has been arrested following the discovery of suspected class A drugs with an estimated street value of between £30k and £50k in Bangor.

The 26-year-old was arrested on Thursday morning in the Victoria Road area.

The arrest follows the search at a house in Victoria Road on the evening of Tuesday July 14 by detectives from PSNI's Organised Crime Branch where a quantity of suspected class A drugs with an estimated street value of between £30,000 and £50,000 were recovered.

Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said: "The man has been arrested on suspicion of importation of a class A controlled drug and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply and is currently assisting police with their enquiries."
