Man arrested after police seize ecstasy and cannabis worth over £19,000 in Lurgan

Detectives in Lurgan have arrested a 23-year-old man and recovered a large quantity of illegal drugs following a search of a property this morning.

Detectives recovered ecstasy with an estimated street value of £19,000 and a small quantity of suspected cannabis during the search of a property in the Victoria Street area of the town.

The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to import a controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He remains in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
