Man arrested over dissident rally

A man has been arrested following a dissident republican rally in Northern Ireland.

The suspect, 28, from the Foyle area, was detained on Monday in connection with the 32 County Sovereignty Movement Easter Monday parade in a cemetery in Londonderry.

He is being questioned by police at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

On June 9, a brother-in-law of Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness appeared in court charged over a dissident republican rally.

Marvin Canning, 49, is accused of committing two terrorist offences at the 32 County Sovereignty Movement parade.

Mr Canning, of Glendara in the Brandywell area, denies the charges.
