Man assaulted by gang in aggravated burglary in north Belfast

A man has been assaulted by a gang of three men at a flat in north Belfast.

It happened in the Ross House area of Mount Vernon road at 1.15pm on Sunday February 19.

The man's face was bruised in the attack, police said.

Detective Sergeant McPhillips said: "We are appealing to anyone that may have any information regarding this incident or to anyone that may have been in the area at the time and witnessed any suspicious activity to contact detectives in Musgrave Reactive and Organised Crime Branch on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1230 of the 19/02/17.

"Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
