Man assaulted by gang of five after Belfast night out

A 21-year-old man has been assaulted by a gang of five people after a night out in Belfast.

Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the Ormeau Avenue area .

The man reported that he was assaulted by five unknown people as he left the Limelight nightclub in the early hours of Sunday, December 20.

He attended hospital for cuts and bruises to his face and hands.

Constable Burrows would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact officers in the Case Progression Team at Musgrave PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101.
