A 20-year-old man has been attacked with a stun gun in Co Londonderry.

It happened when three masked men pushed their way into a flat in the King William III Crescent area of Maghera at about 10.20pm on Thursday.

Police believe the gang fled in a red car towards Gulladuff.

Detective Inspector Will Tate has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

He said: "I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives at Cookstown Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1357 of 19/05/16.

"Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
