Man called rape case witness 190 times
A man accused of rape tried to phone a witness in the case 190 times, the High Court has heard.
In one 24-hour period David Parry attempted to contact the woman on 90 occasions, prosecutors claimed.
Parry faces a new charge of intimidating a witness while on bail accused of the rape, and sexual assault of another woman in Bangor, Co Down.
A judge agreed to release him from custody again after deciding he had acted "idiotically rather than menacingly".
The 24-year-old, with an address at Killynure Road, Carryduff, was first detained over the alleged sex attack last November.
Prosecution counsel claimed that he then breached his bail terms by repeatedly trying to make contact with the witness in the case throughout the next month.
Investigations revealed a withheld number at Parry's bail address was being used, the court heard.
Parry was granted bail to live at an address in Hampshire on condition that no phone is kept in the house.
