Man charged with attempted murder over Craigavon stabbing

A 26-year-old man has been charged after the incident in which a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds on Thursday.

The PSNI has charged a 26 year old man with attempted murder.

He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Saturday.

The charges come following a stabbing incident in Clanrolla Park in the Moyraverty area of Craigavon on Thursday evening.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s, sustained a number of stab wounds following an altercation involving the driver of a dark coloured car.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

Inspector Lynsey Barr has appealed to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact detectives in Lurgan on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
