Man charged with membership of proscribed organisation in dissident republican terrorist probe
A 40-year-old man has been charged with membership of a proscribed organisation and is expected to appear at court in Belfast today.
The charge is understood to relate to ongoing investigations into dissident republican terrorist activity.
A 36-year-old man arrested in Newry yesterday morning was released unconditionally.
Another man, aged 39, arrested on Friday, remained in custody last night, police said.
While a 35-year-old man arrested in west Belfast on Saturday had previously been released unconditionally.
A 47-year-old man, who was arrested in the Londonderry area on Saturday, was released pending a report being sent to the Public Prosecution Service.
A 53-year-old man, also arrested in Derry on Saturday by detectives investigating offences committed at the wake and funeral of republican veteran Peggy O'Hara in the city in July, has been released unconditionally.
