Detectives are investigating a robbery at an off-licence on Antrim Road in Belfast.

At around 4.20pm a male, who claimed to have a knife, kicked his way into the premises and demanded money from the business owner.

The man made off on foot in the direction of a nearby golf club with a small sum of cash.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “The suspect is described as around 5’ 9” tall of slim build. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and hoodie, a black and white scarf and was carrying a dark coloured backpack.

Anyone who saw a male fitting this description in the area or anyone who can assist this investigation in any way is asked to contact Musgrave Reactive and Organised Crime on 101.
