Man 'critical' after Belfast hit and run

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a hit and run in Belfast.

It happened on the Lisburn Road on Saturday September 10.

Shortly before 10pm it was reported to police that a male pedestrian was struck by a car close to Wellesley Avenue.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

The silver coloured which may have significant front damage did not stop and continued countrywards along the Lisburn Road.

It is believed it may have then turned left heading in the direction of the Malone Road.

Inspector McBain is appealing for anyone who was on the Lisburn Road last night and who witnessed the collision, or anyone with any information about the silver coloured car to contact officers in Lisburn Road on 101 quoting reference number 1512 of 10/09/16.
