A man has appeared in court to deny murdering his second cousin, who was killed in a hit-and-run incident.
Appearing in the dock of Omagh Crown Court, sitting in Belfast yesterday, Anthony Joseph Quinn (23) entered a not guilty plea to a charge of murdering his second cousin Declan Quinn on July 16, 2011.
Quinn, from Callan Bridge Park in Armagh, also denied a charge that he killed 37-year-old Declan Quinn by driving dangerously on the Gortgonis Road in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, and a further count that he caused the death by driving while disqualified.
Lawyers for both prosecution and defence told the court they would be seeking further engineer reports before trial. Mr Justice Weir told them that was set for early November and remanded Quinn back into custody.
