An elderly man has died from his injuries following a four car crash in Carrickfergus.

Police have renewed their appeal for information following the crash that happened on the Larne Road near Kilroot on Sunday May 29.

A man aged in his 70s has since died from his injuries.

Just after 6.50pm, police received a report of the road traffic collision.

Four cars were involved – a silver Mercedes E250 Sport, a silver Mercedes CLC180 Sport, a white Mini Cooper and a black Volkswagen Golf.

Constable Peter Grimes said: “I would particularly like to speak to a male who was walking his dog along the Larne Road, Carrickfergus at the time of this incident, as he may have information which would assist with our enquiries.

"I would also appeal to anyone else who may have information about this incident to contact Police at Larne on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1166 of 29/05/16.”
