Man extradited from Northern Ireland to Austria to face sexual assault trial
A man was extradited from Northern Ireland to Austria on Tuesday.
The man is to face trial in respect of a serious sexual assault offence in Austria in 2000.
The 40-year-old was originally arrested by officers from the PSNI's Extradition Team on a European Arrest Warrant in the Newtownards area on Monday 28 September 2015.
He had been on remand in Northern Ireland until his extradition.
A date for the trial in Austria has yet to be set.
