A man is to stand trial accused of child porn offences spanning a seven-year period, a judge in Belfast ordered.

Edward Lee faces 14 charges of making indecent photographs of children.

The 33-year-old is further accused of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

His alleged offences were committed in the city on dates between September 2007 and June 2014.

Lee, of Westbury Gardens in Bournemouth, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court for a preliminary enquiry hearing.

A prosecution lawyer contended that, based on the papers, he has a case to answer.

With no contrary submissions from the defence, District Judge George Conner backed her arguments.

Lee was released on continuing bail until his case gets under way.

He must live at an address approved by the investigating officer.

A further condition involves a ban on any unsupervised contact with children unless approved by social services.
