Man facing harassment charge 'must not go within 500 metres of Belfast church'
A man charged with harassment must not go within 500 metres of a church in Belfast, a judge ordered today.
Stephen Henderson appeared before the city's Magistrates' Court after allegedly breaching a prohibition on being near the Christian Fellowship Church on Belmont Road.
He was brought into custody after attending a service on Sunday, it was claimed.
Henderson, 38, of Tower Street in Belfast, is charged with harassing a member of staff at the church earlier this year.
He told District Judge George Conner the alleged breach was not accepted.
"The truth is I was released without any order of that kinds made to me," he said.
Judge Conner decided to re-admit him to bail but stressed the terms of his release.
He told Henderson: "You are not to loiter within 500 metres of Belmont Christian Fellowship Church and not to have any contact by any means with any member of the Christian Fellowship Church."
Henderson is due back in court next month.
