Man has part of his ear bitten off at fast food restaurant in Belfast City Centre

A man in his 20s has had part of his ear bitten off during an incident at a fast food restaurant in Belfast City Centre.

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Donegall Place in Belfast on Thursday evening.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid said, “A group of males were involved in an altercation at the premises at around 10pm, in which a man in his 20’s, had a part of his ear bitten off.

"The 24-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in custody at this time. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact police in Musgrave on 101.”
