Man held after heroin seized
Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer and said they had taken a significant amount of heroin off the streets of Belfast.
The PSNI said the 31-year-old man was detained on suspicion of supplying heroin and diazepam in the city centre yesterday afternoon. He was taken for interview to Musgrave police station.
Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: "We have recovered a sizeable amount of heroin and prevented potential harm to many people.
"I appeal to people to report any suspicious activity to the police. If you report it, we will respond."
