Police have seized 16 cars in Co Down

Detectives have seized 16 cars and parts in Co Down.

Some vehicles are believed to be stolen, two from the Republic of Ireland. A man aged 29 has been arrested.

BMWs, Volkswagens, Citroens, Mercedes, Chryslers and Saabs were among makes recovered from premises at Crossan Road in Newry, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

A lorry, tools, engine parts and documents have also been confiscated.
