Masked men have shot and wounded a 55-year-old man in Co Armagh.

The victim was hit in the hand during the gun attack at Graham Court, Moira, on Tuesday night.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening but have required hospital treatment.

A spokesman for the PSNI said a motive for the shooting has yet to be established.

"Police received a report that as a 55-year-old man alighted from his car he was approached by two masked men, one of whom shot him in the hand.

"We are looking at all lines of enquiry," he said.

The attack happened just before 8pm.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
