Man in court accused of stealing wreaths and damaging Belfast war memorial
A man appeared in court today accused of damaging a war memorial and stealing wreaths.
Finatan Jude Geraghty is alleged to have attacked the Royal British Legion monument in Belfast.
The 37-year-old, of Ivy Hill in Lisburn, Co Antrim, faces charges of criminal damage and the theft of poppy wreaths.
The alleged offences were committed in the city on July 3.
No further details of the incident were disclosed during the hearing at Belfast Magistrates' Court.
Geraghty was released on continuing bail to appear again on September 17.
