A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Co Tyrone.

The crash involved a white Toyota and silver Volkswagen and happened on the Omagh Road in Ballygawley just before 7pm on Thursday.

Police have named the victim as Kieran McSorley, 50, who was from the Omagh area. He had been a front- seat passenger in one of the cars.

Three other people were also hurt but the extent of their injuries is not known.

The road was closed as police carried out their investigations but re-opened at about 3am on Friday.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward on 101.
