A man has been remanded in custody charged with burglary and the rape of a woman.
Gary Thomas Baker is also accused of assaulting the alleged victim at an address in east Belfast.
The alleged offences were committed at the weekend.
Baker (26) of Inverwood Gardens, Belfast, faces charges of burglary with intent to cause damage, rape, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
His solicitor told the city's Magistrates’ Court that all of the allegations were denied.
However, Dennis Boyd said he was not in a position to seek bail for his client at this stage.
District Judge Fiona Bagnall remanded Baker in custody to appear again by video link on December 12.
