Man quizzed by detectives over murder released
A man arrested on suspicion of the murder of Stephen Carson has been released.
The 35-year-old was arrested yesterday in the Belfast area.
He was questioned by detectives last night before his release in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He was freed pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
Mr Carson (28) was killed in February when gunmen burst into his home off the Ormeau Road in south Belfast.
He was shot dead in front of his partner and nine-year-old son. Two men have already been charged with the murder.
At that time the officer leading the investigation, Det Supt Kevin Geddes, described the murder as "brutal and cold-blooded".
"Our main line of enquiry, but not our only line of enquiry, is that Stephen was shot as part of a criminal feud," he said.
"We do not believe at this stage there was any paramilitary involvement nor do we believe this was sectarian."
