A man is being treated in hospital after he was stabbed in the back by a gang in west Belfast.

It happened in the Springfield Avenue area on Tuesday October 25.

It was reported that shortly before 9.20pm a man, aged in his 30s, was on Springfield Avenue when he was attacked by a number of men.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Springfield Avenue between 9pm and 9.30pm and who witnessed the attack to contact detectives from Reactive & Organised Crime Branch in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 1279 of 25 October.
