Man stabbed repeatedly in back

A man has been left seriously injured after he was repeatedly stabbed in the back.

The attack occurred in the Clareville Walk area of Ballyclare at around 3.30am on Saturday morning.

Detectives in Newtownabbey believe the male attacker was unknown to the 41-year-old victim, who is in a serious condition in hospital.

They have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
