Man with knife robs Upper Newtownards Road off licence

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of an off licence on Upper Newtownards Road in Belfast.

It was reported that shortly after 10am a male, carrying a knife, entered the premises and threatened the female staff member.

The man made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Earlswood Road.

He is described as being aged in his 40’s, approximately 5’6” or 5’8” tall, of medium build and was wearing a black coloured hooded top.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 379 of 15/04/17.
