The man alleged to be the driver of a stolen vehicle involved in a collision in which a young policewoman was killed will face a manslaughter charge, a Londonderry Magistrates court has heard.
PSNI Constable Philippa Reynolds (27) died when a stolen off-road vehicle collided with an unmarked police car in the early hours of February 9.
Shane Frane (25) and Conor Tyrone Clarence (23), both with addresses at the Simon Community, Bond's Hill in Derry, have been in custody since the collision.
Yesterday, a solicitor said that it had been decided that Frane should face a manslaughter charge. The solicitor said the passenger, Clarence, should face a charge of assisting offenders.
Both men were held in custody to appear again on September 12.
