Police are investigating after raiders forced their way into a pensioner's home in north Belfast

Masked men have robbed a pensioner in her home in north Belfast.

They forced their way into her house in Downview Mews at about 7pm on Wednesday and ransacked a bedroom for drugs.

The woman, aged in her 70s, was not physically injured during the incident.

The robbers, described as being aged in their 20s and 30s and wearing jeans and dark clothing, fled with a sum of cash.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101.
