Met Office warns recent sunshine set to turn to thunderstorms
The recent spell of warm weather could come to an end tomorrow as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain and thunderstorms.
Temperatures have reached over 20oC on Sunday and Monday but the bad weather is expected to begin around 5pm on Tuesday and last until around Wednesday evening.
The Met Office said thunderstorms will break out over parts of Northern Ireland later on Tuesday are expected to extend northeast to affect parts of Scotland overnight and into Wednesday morning.
There is also potential for some severe thunderstorms to develop across Wales, northern England and the Midlands.
They added that there is a risk of flash flooding, frequent lightning, large hail and strong winds.
