Missing Belfast woman Leontia Teague found
A young Belfast woman who disappeared at the weekend for the second time in recent months, has been found in Newry.
Leontia Teague (21) was last seen at around lunchtime on Saturday in the Chapel Lane area of Belfast.
It was believed she may have travelled to the Carrickfergus area.
Leontia first disappeared from Thorndale Family Centre on Duncairn Avenue in north Belfast at the end of October.
At the time, her grandmother Nora Darling made an emotional TV appeal for her safe return. Leontia's parents Conal and Nuala also made an appeal for contact. The family was reunited in mid-November.
On Wednesday January 7 police confirmed that Leontia had been successfully located in the Newry area.
Inspector David McBride said: “Police would like to wholeheartedly thank members of the public and all of the media that assisted in the process of circulating appeals, which have resulted in Leontia being successfully located this morning in the Newry area.”
