Missing divers found 'safe and well' after sea search
Three divers reporting missing off the coast of Northern Ireland have been found safe and well in the sea, the Coastguard said.
A major air and sea search was launched after the divers went missing off Blackhead, near Whitehead, Co Antrim, shortly before 5.30pm.
An Irish Coast Guard helicopter was involved in the search along with Coastguard rescue teams from Portmuck and Larne.
A number of merchant vessels also helped with the operation.
A Coastguard spokesman said the divers had been located in the water by a lifeboat and they were due to be airlifted to shore for medical checks.
"They are safe and well," he said.
