MLA Kennedy thanks NHS staff for care
Danny Kennedy has praised NHS staff for their care over the past four days.
The Ulster Unionist MLA was a patient in Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry with a condition affecting his bowel that he said flares up "every now and again".
Friends wished the Newry and Armagh MLA a speedy recovery on Twitter yesterday following a tweet posted by Mr Kennedy.
In it he said: "Huge thanks to the doctors, nurses, consultants and staff of Daisy Hill Hospital for their help, care and assistance over the past four days."
Comedian William Caulfield replied "keep well" while fellow UUP MLA Jennifer Palmer tweeted "best wishes".
Last night, Mr Kennedy said: "I must praise the doctors and nurses in the hospital for all the good care and attention I received during my short stay. I am a strong supporter and admirer of the NHS. Daisy Hill Hospital once again has looked after me and treated me very well."
