Model Katie Larmour splits from childhood pal of Rory McIlroy
One of Rory McIlroy's closest friends has split with his model and beauty queen fiancee.
No firm reason for the split has emerged. It had been reported that Katie Larmour, one of Northern Ireland's best-known models, called off her engagement to Harry Diamond recently.
The couple had been due to wed in Italy next summer after Diamond proposed to Katie in October 2013 after five years together.
Diamond has been a keeping childhood friend McIlroy company on countless nights outs in recent months to celebrate his Major wins and embrace his new single status.
McIlroy broke off his five-month engagement to Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki in May soon after invitations for their wedding were sent out.
Since the split Wozniacki has been enjoying some renewed success on the tennis court.
Meanwhile, McIlroy has been linked to Katie Larmour's friend, Irish model Nadia Forde, and also Belfast model and receptionist Sasha Gale.
Only days ago McIlroy was spotted having dinner with former Miss Northern Ireland Tiffany Brien, who recently split with Ulster Rugby star Craig Gilroy, but the pair are said to be just friends.
Katie is now said to have moved out of the Holywood home she shared with Diamond and is keeping busy with a series of modelling and presenting assignments.
A source told Sunday Life: "Katie's dated Hollywood actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and even a Saudi Prince in the past, she's gorgeous inside and out and she won't be single for long.
"It's sad what's happened but ultimately she felt Harry seemed more interested in partying with Rory than planning his wedding and Katie was never going to stand for that."
