More than 300 cars at a scrapyard in Co Armagh have been destroyed in a suspicious fire.

The blaze at the breakers yard at Fegan’s Quarry on Madden Road in Keady happened in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police are working to establish a motive for the incident, which was reported at around 2am, and are appealing for information.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has any information which may be of assistance to the investigation, is asked to contact officers in Armagh on 101 quoting reference 83 04/10/16.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
