More than 500,000 watch Drumquin, Northern Ireland men's sofa struggles

Warning: Video furnished with some strong language

Published 09/02/2016

The struggles of two men with a sofa in Drumquin, Co Tyrone, has become an internet hit attracting over half-a-million views in just a couple of days.

The footage was filmed by Jason McCarten as he watched the two men attempt to transport the piece of furniture along a road in a residential area in the village.

The men argue and bicker - with some strong language thrown in - as they attempt to haul the sofa.

Cushions fall off and at one stage the entire sofa lands on one of the men.

Of course being from the country their accents have baffled some.

"Is that English," was one response.

While another said: "This is great. I reckon you could film these guys' daily life and it'd be like Father Ted meets The Royle Family."
