A motorcyclist has died after he hit a roundabout in Newtownards.

The man, aged in his 50s, died after the incident on the Comber Road at around 11.40pm on Thursday.

Police don't believe any other vehicles were involved and are keen to hear from any witnesses.

The Comber Road had been closed for a number of hours, but has been reopened to traffic.
