Motorist unhurt in stone attack on car
A driver escaped injury after her car became the latest to come under fire in a spate of apparently random stone-throwing attacks in a Co Antrim village.
A stone smashed through the front passenger window of a Citroen car as it was being driven through Dervock, near Ballymoney, during the hours of darkness.
Inspector David Anderson, of Ballymoney PSNI, said: “The woman was in the car on her own and although the front passenger window was smashed, thankfully she was not hurt but it must have been a traumatic experience for her nonetheless.
“We know the people from Dervock have no time for this type of behaviour and they are rightly disgusted by it.”
