Neighbouring church buys Dungiven's old PSNI station
A former PSNI station has been sold to the Presbyterian Church next door.
Dungiven police station was among the most fortified and most bombed in Northern Ireland.
Now, the once-hidden building is under new ownership and has a brighter, more hospitable future.
Church committee member Ian Buchanan said: "Our intention had been to demolish the building and level the entire site as a car park, but once we got inside the station itself we saw the potential of the building and decided against demolition.
"The possibilities are enormous with the building."
It's understood the PSNI has sold off more than 70 of its 140 stations in the past 10 years.
