NI chef's depression challenge
A top Northern Ireland chef is swapping his knives for knitting needles in a bid to raise awareness of depression.
Tandragee-born James McIntosh, who became a huge hit in China after appearing on TV there, has vowed to travel 15,000 miles and knit one jumper per country to raise money for a new medical centre in Canada.
The 38-year-old came up with the awareness-raising idea after being struck by depression out of the blue.
He said that the condition left him feeling so anxious and hopeless that he spent most of the year in bed.
As part of his journey, the award-winning chef will travel from London to Germany and China before arriving in Belfast on June 10.
