A charitable organisation in the north Belfast area has received a boost from McDonald’s Westwood after the restaurant pledged to supply football kit and equipment to the group.
The 174 Trust is a community development project which aims to build relationships and friendships amongst young people from both sides of the community interface through a series of outings and activities, including football and swimming.
Commenting, Bill Shaw, director of 174 Trust, said: “I’d like to thank McDonald’s Westwood for their kind donation. We find sport to be a very valuable asset in fostering good community relations and the provision of football equipment will be of great assistance to the trust in this area.”
Kerry McCrory, people manager McDonald’s, added: “McDonald’s is very much part of the community and is delighted to be supporting 174 Trust in what is a very worthwhile initiative. This is making a positive contribution to the local area and we are very proud to be supporting this.”
