A Tesco employee was knocked to the ground after being struck by a car while they were operating the trolley machine in the car park.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision in the Carrickfergus customer car park on Sunday February 7 at around 2.45pm.

At the time a Tesco employee was operating a trolley machine in the customer car park when he was struck by a red VW Polo and knocked to the ground.

The female driver of the Polo made off without providing her details.

If you were in the car park at the time of the collision and have any information that could assist police in identifying the driver/vehicle you are asked to call 101 (ref: 667 of 7/2/16)
