Northern Ireland traffic and travel updates: Police advise motorists to exercise extreme caution on the roads due to weather
Police are advising motorists to exercise extreme caution on the roads and urged drivers to be aware that there may be debris or fallen trees on roads throughout Norther Ireland.
Both southbound lanes of the A1 carriageway were closed to motorists for a time to facilitate the recovery of an overturned lorry at the Hillsborough roundabout. The roads have since re-opened to traffic.
Elsewhere the Moyallen Road in Gilford is blocked in both directions due to a fallen tree.
In Newtownards traffic is slow moving on the Portaferry Road due to flooding. Police say the road is passable with care.
In Co Antrim the Aghalee Road, Lower Ballinderry is closed in both directions due to a fallen electricity pole. Diversions are in place.
A traffic collision in Limavady is causing delays in both directions on Ballykelly Road.
In Lisburn part of the Moira Road near Church Lane, has been closed due to a fallen tree.
Meanwhile flight BA 1420 from London's Heathrow Airport has been diverted from Belfast City airport due to high winds.
