Nurse who stole drugs from NHS faces prison term
A Co Armagh nurse has been warned it will be "almost impossible" for her to avoid jail after she admitted stealing drugs from the NHS.
At Craigavon Magistrates Court, 28-year-old Stacey Bryars pleaded guilty to nine charges relating to the theft of the sedative Zopiclone and the painkiller co-codamol between September 22 and October 21, 2016.
The court heard Bryars, from Sheetrim Road, Drumhillery in Armagh, had "addiction issues." She is currently suspended from employment at Craigavon Area Hospital. Adjourning sentencing, District Judge Bernie Kelly told Bryars to make childcare arrangements should she go to jail.
