Published 10/08/2010

Detectives are investigating a distraction burglary at the home of an OAP at Fort Street in Belfast yesterday morning.

A man claiming to be from the Water Board called at the property shortly before 10am. While he distracted the homeowner, it's believed another man entered the house.

This second male is understood to have searched the upstairs, taking a sum of money. One intruder was around 5ft 4-6ins tall, clean-shaven and wearing a suit. The second had dirty fair hair and was wearing jeans and a navy and red top.

Anyone who can help identify these men is asked to contact Grosvenor Road CID on 0845 600 8000.
