Officers raid Armagh 'store' containing counterfeit clothing and jewellery
A make-shift shop containing counterfeit clothing, jewellery and shoes has been raided in South Armagh.
Police found two "viewing rooms" and a storeroom packed with fake goods when they swooped on a property at Blaney Road, Crossmaglen.
Clothing with the brand names Chanel, Barbour, Ralph Lauren, Hollister and Michael Kors were recovered - as well as make-up, perfume, jewellery, watches and shoes.
A small quantity of fireworks and bottles of potcheen were also seized.
The raid was carried out on Friday.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Wright said: "The counterfeit market damages our local economy and diverts much needed finance away from small and local businesses.
"There are also many instances where the counterfeit market is used to fund organised crime and terrorism."
A 39-year-old woman and 44-year-old man arrested at the scene have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
