On course to widen views

Queens University have broadened the horizons for many people with the opportunity to learn a new skill or take up a hobby with the Queens Open Learning Programme.

There are over 100 courses on offer to suit the interests of many people from family history to first aid.

Other courses include Creative Thinking and Writing which offers practical advice on all aspects of writing and also courses for those interested in foreign languages.

Dr Tess Maginess, open learning coordinator at Queens School of Education said: ''Open learning is the perfect opportunity to learn something new or pick up an old hobby. The courses are open to everyone over the age of 16 and no qualifications are required to enrol.
