Action Cancer bus — the Action Cancer Big Bus will be making a stop in east Belfast this month.

The bus will be located at the Laser store at Connswater Shopping Centre this Saturday, March 27.

The vehicle houses cancer prevention and early detection services, and staff on the unit also provide information about support. If you would like to make an appointment contact Action Cancer in advance on 9080 3344, or email bigbus@actioncancer.org.

Appointments will be available from 10am to 3pm on a first come basis.

School reunion — Bloomfield Collegiate's class of 1990 will be holding a 20 year reunion this year and are looking for many ‘old girls' to get back in touch.

The event will take place on Friday, May 7, at 7.30pm in the Pavilion, Stormont.

Glass recycling — local residents can now recycle mixed colours of glass bottles and jars at household recycling centres and local community recycling points across Castlereagh.

Signs will be appearing on all bottle banks in the very near future indicating that any colour of glass can be placed in the bank.

Any one wishing to know the location of their nearest bottle banks should contact the council’s technical and environmental services on 9049 4600, or visit the council’s website www.castlereagh.gov.uk.
