One Direction v Belfast Giants - Belfast Boojum decides who came out on top
The band's rescheduled show in Belfast caused anger among ice hockey fans
It was an unprecedented battle - One Direction versus the Belfast Giants.
But according to Belfast - the Giants have triumphed.
One Direction caused a meltdown among their fans when they came to play three shows at the SSE Arena Belfast last week.
The foursome of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne were forced to cancel their first night at the last minute after Payne took ill.
But in a bid to salvage the heartbroken fans the show was rescheduled for the Friday night as no other dates were available - subsequently cancelling the Belfast Giants' hockey game against the Sheffield Steelers.
Naturally this delighted the majority of fans who missed out on Tuesday night's performance - but sparked rage among ice-hockey fans.
The Sheffield Steelers hit out at the decision of moving the Belfast Giants branding it "unacceptable".
But now - Belfast has held its own evaluation of the row in Belfast's Boojum restaurant on Chichester street.
In the form of two tip/change jars - one with a photo of One Direction and one with a photo of the Belfast Giants - and it looks like the Giants are coming out on top.
At the time a spokesman for The SSE Arena Belfast said the decision wasn't taken lightly.
He said: "We did not take this decision lightly, given that the Belfast Giants and the team’s dedicated fans are very much part of the fabric here at The SSE Arena, Belfast.
“We understand how disappointed the Giants fans are and we will continue to work with Belfast Giants management and the Elite League to accommodate the Giants for a rescheduled game later in the season.
“Again, we apologise to Sheffield Steelers fans who will be inconvenienced by this unprecedented turn of events and we are working closely with the Giants management team to evaluate the full impact.”
